Gluten Aid is an enzyme blend developed to assist the digestion of grains (rye, wheat, barley, etc.) and foods containing dairy. Sensitivity to these foods can be attributed to the incomplete digestion of certain peptides found in gluten and dairy protein. MRM’s Gluten Aid exhibits 550 units of Dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP IV), an enzyme activity that effectively breaks down these peptides. Additionally, carbohydrate digesting enzymes are included to facilitate the breakdown of the starches and fibers that surround the gluten protein. The enzyme lactase is added to further aid in milk lactose digestion.
